3 Weeks Old!

bramblymountainfarm

The puppies are 3 weeks old today and are cuter by the moment. Their fur is getting thick and their bellies round. They are beginning to try to communicate with each other with the sweetest little growls and barks. Here's the latest video if you haven't seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNBq0xN98q0

Beaver dives right in

They had their first deworming this weekend and all fecals were clear, and this is always fantastic to see. We also began some solid food. Lucy has been starting to

wean them as she spends less time in the box.

We blend a mixture of puppy chow, bone broth, pumpkin (straight from the summer's garden :), and goat's milk. The puppies LOVED it. It was hilarious to watch them literally dive in. Some couldn't decide if it taste better out of the

bowl or tasting it off of one another.

Next week, after the Christmas craziness, we will be moving the puppies to a transition space, offering them a little more space and a litter area. Their developing legs aren't quite ready for the slipper floor surface so it will really just be a few feet beyond the whelping box to make space for the potty area.

I hope this finds you well and enjoying your Christmas season! I tell you, it has been absolutely bonkers here trying to keep up with puppies and all the Christmas festivities! I hope your season is proving more relaxing than mine!
